About the Instructor:
Bill Aston is a seasoned quality professional who has worked in the oil and gas, petrochemical, equipment manufacturing, and construction industries since 1970. He has assisted companies in developing quality management systems, including API Q1, API Q2, and ISO 9001. Additionally, Bill has trained and developed auditors, welding inspectors, and NDE personnel for various personnel certifications. Bill is a competent professional who holds current certifications as an Exemplar Global Master Auditor, PECB Lead Auditor, and ASQ Certified Quality Auditor. He has written several articles published in ASQ Quality Progress Magazine and is recognized as an ASQ Ask the Experts on Standards emeritus.
Bill’s knowledge spans all phases of QA/QC, risk management, mechanical inspection of process and rotating equipment, process piping, onshore and offshore pipelines, pressure vessels, welding inspection, and NDE. Bill’s expertise has led to his active involvement as a voting member on key industry committees, including the API Quality Subcommittee 18, API Supply Chain Management Subcommittee 20, and the US TAG to ISO TC 176. As a quality management system expert, Bill is a reliable source of information for individuals and organizations seeking excellence.
